You put the shelf up, set three things on it, and it reads as storage. The ledge above the sofa holds a frame and a candle, and it still looks unfinished. The gap between "objects on a shelf" and "a styled shelf" is small. Five roles and a handful of measurements.
Dubai adds its own conditions. What do you put on floating shelves?

Apartment walls in newer buildings are often gypsum board over metal studs. A floating shelf there needs the plug made for hollow walls, and even then it prefers iron and ceramic to stone. A picture ledge goes up on two screws, and everything on it leans. That makes a full swap a five-minute job and leaves a landlord two holes to fill. The trade is depth. 8 to 12 cm holds a tray, a plate, a frame, a small candle holder, and little else.
A fixed shelf costs more holes and gives more back. It is the type to use when a stone pot or a stack of books is part of the plan.
